Money My Master

Do you want money?

I want money so bad that I would do anything for money!

Some people work 90 hour weeks for money.  Some people clean poop or pick up trash for money.  Some people read palms for money.  Some people count cards for money.  Some people stalk celebrities for money.  Work hard for money.  Sit around for money.  Cheat for money.  Threaten for money.  Kill for money.  My body for money.  Manipulate for money.  Sell coffins for money.  Geek squad for money.  Sue for money.  Bribe for money.  Steal for money.  Lie for money.  Sell other people's bodies for money.  Sell pills for money.

When will I have enough money?

Does everything have a price tag?  Will I walk nude through downtown for a price?  Will I cheat for a price?  Will I steal for a price?  If I do, how will I buy back my dignity, my honor, my name?

Do I have a purpose higher than money?  What would I give up all money for?

In Zimbabwe a man had a wheelbarrow that was filled to overflowing with Zimbabwe dollars.  Someone came and beat him up, dumped out the money, and stole the wheelbarrow.  The Zimbabwe dollars were worth less than monopoly money.  What if you stack it all up so high and it can't buy you what you want?

Money will never let me down.  My money loves me and gives me ice cream and cake.  Or is money some demon trying to lure me in like a mouse to the cheese in a mouse trap?

"No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money."  NLT Matthew 6:24
